many others have found, that Mt. Olive is a loving and caring church that seeks
to minister to the entire person. We are in no way a perfect church, but we are
making strides to fulfill the mandates of the Kingdom of God. We are growing in
everyway imaginable, spiritually, numerically, and financially. Consequently,
we are perched and poised to be and become a blessing to the community. So as
you consider the many choices for church membership, give us a “good look” and
join us. I am sure that your presence will make us an even more vibrant church

Our MissionWe believe that our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ has given us our mission. Our mission is stated clearly in St. Matthew 28:19-20, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world".

In
brief, you should know the following about Mount Olive: Our church was dedicated
to God in the year of our Lord 1958. It was incorporated according to the laws
of New York State. Rev. Virginia Myers, the founder, became the first
Pastor. Rev. Myers served in that capacity until her demise on November 30th,
1973. The members were faithful behind her and wholeheartedly gave their support
and that is one of the reasons why we are still here lifting up the name of God
in praise and receiving His blessings. Since the death of Rev. Myers the
following have held the position of Pastor of Mount Olive: Rev. Melvin Nichols
1974-1976, Rev. George R. Ebanks 1976-1987, Rev. Shirley Saunders Feb. 1988-Dec.
1994, Rev. James Simpson 1995-1997, Rev. Dr. Henry Thomas Jr. Mar. 1998-Dec.
2004, and since June 2005, Rev. A. G. Chancellor III (Pictured). Our church
family continues to pray that our faith in the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit
shall never falter as we share our heritage with pride and dignity. Our church
